Job Overview

  • Peerless Pump Company, a subsidiary of Grundfos, is seeking an EHS Intern for the 2023-2024 school year.
  • The EHS Intern will provide support to the EHS Manager and assist with health & safety and environmental requirements.
  • This is a paid internship opportunity.

Compensation

  • Contract Type: Part-Time
  • Working Hours: 40
  • Employment Type: Internship

Responsibilities

  • Collect and organize risk assessments information into a database.
  • Accurately complete chemical inventory and compile data into SDS system.
  • Upload training summaries into Success Factors, ensuring consistency of data.
  • Review environmental permit/exemption documents and construct compliance summaries.
  • Update, revise, and create training knowledge checks.
  • Upload training presentations into the Learning Management System.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be an enrolled student pursuing a Health & Safety or Environmental Undergraduate Major, Minor, or Graduate degree (or related relevant field).
  • Ability to navigate Health, Safety, and Environmental functions.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and respond quickly to change.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team. Self-starter/Self-motivated.
  • Detailed in data entry and records management. Accuracy is key for this role.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to readily learn other software systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Desired previous work experience.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Reliable attendance and connectivity.
  • This role will work in the EHS office (climate-controlled) and may require time on the production floor (not climate-controlled).
  • The EHS office is on the second floor, with only staircase access.
  • Relocation for this position cannot be supported, and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.
