Job Overview
- Thornton Tomasetti is an independent organization applying engineering and scientific principles to solve the world's challenges.
- We are seeking an Engineer Intern to join our Transportation Practice in the greater New York City area.
- As an intern, you will work closely with staff engineers to provide assistance on various tasks for active projects.
Compensation
- The rate for this position generally ranges from $20 to $25 per hour.
- This estimate is provided in accordance with the New York Pay Transparency Law, and actual pay rates may vary based on factors such as location, education, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist staff engineers with hydraulic analysis, roadway design, grading, drainage, quantity estimating, and drafting/detailing of civil and infrastructure elements.
- Coordinate work under the supervision of in-house staff and prepare drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Have the opportunity to go on-site visits and inspections.
Requirements
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in B.S. Civil Engineering.
- Excellent academic record.
- Experience in AutoCAD is helpful but not required; familiarity with BIM is a plus.
