Job Overview

  • Cross-train through the department to learn hands-on skills related to industrial/engineering technologies
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend cost saving opportunities by identifying process, quality, and safety related improvement projects
  • Work closely with the continuous improvement team on process improvement initiatives & projects
  • Presentation/Report on an improvement project at the end of the internship
  • Troubleshoot work-related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others
  • Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and uphold the CMC Safety Culture proactively

Responsibilities

  • Cross-train through the department to learn hands-on skills related to industrial/engineering technologies

Requirements

  • Must possess a strong interest in Industrial Engineering Technologies and be enrolled at Junior/Senior level education
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to include 40 hour work weeks during summer (June-August)
  • Able to work independently, take initiative, and drive for results with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of processes in Microsoft windows, engineering software such as Auto CAD and Solid Works
  • Ability to understand and apply ISO work instructions and standard operating practices and procedures
  • Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust, fumes, and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces
  • Must read, speak, and understand English language in verbal and written communication
  • Previous internship experiences preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited university program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field at the time of internship (Junior level or higher preferred)
