Job Overview
- Cross-train through the department to learn hands-on skills related to industrial/engineering technologies
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend cost saving opportunities by identifying process, quality, and safety related improvement projects
- Work closely with the continuous improvement team on process improvement initiatives & projects
- Presentation/Report on an improvement project at the end of the internship
- Troubleshoot work-related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others
- Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and uphold the CMC Safety Culture proactively

Responsibilities

Requirements
- Must possess a strong interest in Industrial Engineering Technologies and be enrolled at Junior/Senior level education
- Able to work a flexible schedule to include 40 hour work weeks during summer (June-August)
- Able to work independently, take initiative, and drive for results with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of processes in Microsoft windows, engineering software such as Auto CAD and Solid Works
- Ability to understand and apply ISO work instructions and standard operating practices and procedures
- Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust, fumes, and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces
- Must read, speak, and understand English language in verbal and written communication
- Previous internship experiences preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited university program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field at the time of internship (Junior level or higher preferred)
