Job Overview
- Hands-on internship experience working with properties, financial statements, and accounting projects
- Opportunity to gain knowledge in accounting for real estate investments and mortgage loans

Responsibilities
- Thoroughly analyze asset, liability, and equity accounts for assigned portfolio of properties
- Prepare accurate monthly balance sheets and income/operating statements for each property
- Investigate variances between actual performance and budget
- Provide timely responses to accounting and financial questions
- Assist with calculating performance returns for the investment real estate portfolio
- Record transactions in the mortgage loan accounting system
Requirements
- Cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 (3.5+ preferred)
- Working knowledge of accounting and generally accepted accounting principles
- Quick learner of accounting software applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be a third or fourth-year accounting student
