Civil Engineer Intern - Water Resources
Job Location
Houston, TX
Job Overview
- Assist with drainage and stormwater analysis and design
- Support projects in water resources planning, hydrology, and hydraulic modeling
- Perform various engineering tasks as needed
Compensation
- Interns are paid hourly
- Full-time position (40 hours/week)
- Summer internship in 2024
Responsibilities
- Design civil engineering projects under the supervision of a Professional Engineer
- Help with drainage and stormwater analysis and design
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water Resources projects
- Perform drafting CAD work
- Conduct calculations and analysis for design projects
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and regulatory documents
- Coordinate with team members, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong relationship-building and team-building skills
- Self-motivated and highly organized
