Civil Engineer Intern - Land Development
Job Location
Austin, TX
Job Overview
Halff is actively seeking a part-time Civil Engineering Intern for our Land Development team in our Tyler, TX office. The Civil Engineer Intern should have interest in land development design.
Compensation
Interns are paid hourly and would work full-time (40 hours/week), typically 8a-5p Monday thru Friday for the summer of 2024. Halff does not pay for or provide housing.
Responsibilities
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
- Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for land development projects
- Assist with drafting CAD work
- Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
- Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- Great communication skills
- Solid relationship and team building skills
- Self-motivated and strong organization skills
