Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic intern who is eager to learn about the important role of internal controls in the financial reporting process. As an intern, you will work with diverse groups of professionals and gain first-hand exposure to the tools and processes used to assess the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting. You'll receive guidance and work closely with experienced professionals, as well as the opportunity to participate in networking activities. You'll have exposure to issues shaping and affecting the profession today as well as topics related to your own career development. Your counselor will serve as a vital source of information and advice, offering timely, constructive feedback on your performance.

Compensation

A reasonable estimate of the current salary is $25/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with evaluating and documenting complex business, technology, audit, and fraud risks
  • Assisting in documenting business processes
  • Assisting in testing the operating effectiveness of various internal controls
  • Identifying and documenting internal controls to mitigate risks and related opportunities for internal control improvement
  • Contributing to positive working relationships with internal clients and team, including global team members
  • Coordinating ad hoc projects on an as-needed basis for management

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance, Information Systems Administration, Data Science, or related field
  • Previous accounting or audit experience a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Proven experience working independently and managing multiple assignments in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Must clearly understand how to handle confidential information
