Job Overview
At Oshkosh, our purpose is to build, serve, and protect people and communities worldwide by manufacturing durable specialty trucks and access equipment. As a Simplification Team Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the implementation of strategic business initiatives using a flexible and people-centric program management framework. This year-round internship will begin in-person at our Global Headquarters in Oshkosh, WI during the summer, and transition to part-time remote work during the school year. Please note that relocation may be required for the summer of 2024.
Compensation
This is a paid internship opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Assist in defining business problems and opportunities through charter development.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis.
- Identify and monitor project-related risks in people, products, and/or organizations.
- Observe behavioral and cultural changes that contribute to project success.
- Prepare and present program status and issues to the lead project manager.
- Contribute to various aspects of initiatives, such as project plan creation, change success interviews, business process mapping, stakeholder communications, training material development, and transfer of ownership activities.
- Collaborate with business process owners to identify key measures of success.
- Network across the company to gain insights into Oshkosh and potential career growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a Sophomore or higher, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Risk Management, Organizational Leadership, Engineering, or I/O Psychology.
- Strong skills in project management, organization, and oral and written communication.
- Passion for guiding people through problem-solving and achieving results.
- Proactive and creative mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
