Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Chemical Engineering Intern to join our team in Evansville, PA for the summer of 2024. As a Chemical Engineering Intern, you will immerse yourself in plant processes, tackle new challenges and projects, and gain real-world working experience. Put your education into action and support the plant operations to achieve production goals. Learn about the industry, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Compensation
- Pay Class: Salaried Non-Exempt
- Pay Rate: $23/hr
Responsibilities
- Support and participate in assigned project work in the field
- Collaborate with experienced engineers, managers, and production employees in different departments
- Complete summer projects to gain industry understanding and drive efficiency
- Learn about the mission of production, maintenance, and quality departments
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Requirements
- Current juniors and seniors working toward a degree in Chemical Engineering
- Commitment, engagement, and a strong work ethic
- Openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
