Job Overview
As a Structural Test Engineer, you will work within a government-contractor team planning and executing tests of full-scale naval platforms and test articles. This is a full-time onsite position in West Bethesda, MD.
Compensation
Between $86,000 and $138,000 per year. Position range in Montgomery County Workforce Region is $122,000 - $248,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for test planning, design preparation, coordination, and execution of testing events including full ship tests.
- Planning and coordination of test schedules, tasks, cost estimation, and resource identification.
- Installation and test of instrumentation, real-time data acquisition support, and operational test support.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Test Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in planning and executing platform structural tests.
- Background in structural test planning, coordination, execution support, instrumentation support, and documentation.
- Experience with naval platform shock and deep submergence testing is a plus.
