Job Overview

The Digital Content Strategy Intern at the American Academy of Neurology will have the opportunity to learn about web, email, and social media strategy. In this role, you will assist the Digital Content Strategy team in creating and editing digital content for AAN.com and BrainandLife.org.

Responsibilities

  • Support Digital Content team
  • Learn how to update the CMS for AAN.com and BrainandLife.org
  • Assist in producing timely news
  • Develop strategies for the web with an audience-first approach
  • Gain training on website maintenance and proofing
  • Explore search engine optimization opportunities
  • Analyze web and social data
  • Research paid media tactics
  • Stay updated on emerging digital trends
  • Understand post-campaign reporting

Requirements

  • Education: Currently enrolled as a student studying communications, digital marketing/marketing, or related fields
  • Must be enrolled in an educational institution pursuing a degree
  • Interest in web editing and content management systems
  • Experience with web production, web best-practice tools, writing for digital mediums, and social media marketing preferred
  • Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Self-starter, motivated, detail-oriented, and excellent communicator
    • Keen understanding of audience preferred
    • Team-player preferred
    • Design or coding knowledge preferred
