2024 Summer Intern, Housing and Community Development (Remote; Bachelors)
Job Location
Reston, VA
Job Overview
As a 2024 Summer Intern, Housing and Community Development, you will support a diverse range of projects providing consulting support to affordable housing, community development, and/or economic development agencies throughout the United States. You will become an integral part of a team developing and offering innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services for multiple clients.
Examples of the types of projects you might support include:
- Assisting in the development of written educational materials and videos
- Developing training and webinar materials and providing logistical support
- Data cleanup and analysis
- Supporting training, conference, and summit planning duties
- And more! An interest and eye for design is welcome!
Compensation
Pay Range: $35,061.00 - $59,604.00
Responsibilities
- Supporting training and technical assistance activities with written reports, web products, instructional videos, guidance resources, training materials, and operation of webinar platforms.
- Supporting data collection, tracking, analysis, reporting, quality assurance, and compliance.
- Providing general project support (budget tracking, monthly reporting, invoicing, data analysis).
- Assisting with conference and meeting planning tasks, including marketing, outreach, and coordinating with speakers.
- Assisting with webinar planning and logistics.
- Assisting with video creation and production to support technical assistance activities.
- Coordinating with federal clients and consultants to track key deadlines and deliverables for timeliness and completeness.
- Maintaining and updating a website.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Government, Economics, Urban Planning, Business Administration, Marketing, or another similar field.
- Interest in or experience with basic design software (Canva, Moovly), HTML, and/or Web Development.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
- Interest in affordable housing, financial empowerment, and/or community development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills.
