Mott MacDonald, a leading independent engineering and development consultancy, is seeking a passionate and driven Civil Engineer Intern to join their team. This internship offers hands-on experience working on a variety of projects, contributing to sustainable outcomes for clients and communities. As an intern, you will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining valuable knowledge and skills in the field of civil engineering.

Responsibilities
During your internship, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of civil engineering projects. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs
- Attending site inspections, investigations, and monitoring
- Actively participating in project, client, and team meetings
- Reviewing, preparing, and modifying designs
- Analyzing reports, specifications, and studies
- Gaining exposure to project, commercial, and client management
- Undertaking a digital approach in deliverables
- Actively participating in our Early Careers Professional Network
- Supporting our Purpose in everything you do
Requirements
To be considered for this internship position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university
- Demonstrable interest in civil projects through relevant experience, such as field of study, internships, volunteering, or association memberships
- Methodical approach to problem-solving and ability to work efficiently and independently
- Excellent verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members
- Strong written communication skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with relevant technologies, such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, etc.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred
