Job Overview
Through innovative storytelling and a culture of collaboration, Disney Live Entertainment creates, produces, and delivers remarkable and engaging entertainment experiences. From the intimate to the spectacular, our work can be seen at Disney theme parks, resort hotels, cruise ships, and other locations worldwide. We are currently seeking a Show Control Design Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of show control and network systems for live shows and events. Join us and help us bring magical worlds to life!

Responsibilities
- Support Show Control Designers with the development and execution of show control systems and network architectures for live shows and facility infrastructure.
- Design cohesive and integrated systems for Disney Live Entertainment shows, atmosphere, and park-wide control.
- Utilize various programs including TAIT Navigator, Visual Studio, SSH, Beckhoff TC, and other development and controls software tools.
- Conduct design and technical research.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, engineers, safety, production, and facility teams.
- Assist with prioritization, organization, and problem-solving during installation, focus, and cueing of projects.
- Attend and contribute to Disney Live Entertainment seminars and meetings.
Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of show control/network technology and equipment.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new software applications.
- Familiarity with the entertainment industry and a creative background.
- Proficiency with general computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Junior, senior, or recent graduate pursuing a degree in the technical aspects of show control, machine automation, or computer networking, with a focus on live show entertainment.
