Job Overview

We are seeking an Intern - Chemical and Biological Engineering, R D Grad Year Round to join our team. In this role, you will be guided by a technical mentor and work closely with a team of researchers and interns on issues of national significance. You will have the opportunity to contribute to exciting research projects using your engineering and analytical skills to address important challenges in Biorefineries and Biomanufacturing.

Responsibilities

As an intern, you will:

• Collect and process data
• Analyze data and present results to the team
• Brainstorm ideas with multi-disciplinary engineering teams
• Draft technical reports, white papers, and proposal sections

Requirements

Qualifications we require:

• Earned bachelor's degree
• Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited science, engineering, or math graduate program
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
• Ability to work up to 30 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
• U.S. citizen, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident of the U.S.

Qualifications we desire:

• Completed some coursework in graduate level science and/or engineering curriculum
• Fermentation and/or anaerobic digestion experience
• Demonstrated fluency in communication skills combined with the ability to organize and present scientific results as evidenced by presentations and posters at conferences and meetings, publications of abstracts or articles in peer-reviewed journals and/or at meetings
