Job Overview

Marquee Sports Network, in partnership with Sinclair Broadcast Group, is the exclusive television home of the MLB Chicago Cubs. As a Content Writer/Editor, you will contribute to multiple departments and be responsible for writing, editing, and publishing engaging content for Marquee Sports Network's website and app. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced sports media environment with a focus on delivering unprecedented Cubs coverage for fans.

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and publish content for Marquee Sports Network's website and app.
  • Contribute to multiple departments, including digital content, communications, marketing, and production.
  • Develop story and content ideas.
  • Prepare, edit, and review presentations.
  • Perform analytics for various topics.
  • Attend and participate in meetings with different departments.
  • Maintain punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
  • Be productive while working in the office or in a remote environment.
  • Take on other general duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce quality content.
  • Passionate about sports, with a knowledge of baseball strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in using Adobe Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator) preferred.
  • Open to receiving feedback from others and applying it to the work.
  • High productivity when working independently and while collaborating with others.
  • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends.
