Job Overview
Are you interested in becoming an expert in adversary system capabilities and advanced technologies for defense applications? Join our team at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and be a part of revolutionizing modern warfare.
Compensation
Position range in Mid-Maryland Workforce Region:
- $96k - $161k per year
Responsibilities
- Develop and use models and simulations of adversary systems, characterizing their performance
- Understand foreign missile systems to help design, develop, test, and evaluate defeat mechanisms
- Analyze system level performance against threat missile systems, including developing novel concepts for their employment
- Develop and test High Power Microwave weapons to defend against threat missile systems
Requirements
To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or related degrees, with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Experience with programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C, C++, Java, or similar
- Good analytical skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to obtain Interim Secret level security clearance and ultimately obtain Secret level clearance
