Responsibilities
- Provide mechanical engineering support for new product development and existing product support
- Translate product requirements into mechanical specifications and test plans
- Execute verification testing based on specifications and plans
- Conduct design analysis and testing to meet customer requirements
- Generate and process engineering change orders (ECOs)
- Collaborate with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation
Requirements
- Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering, or related field
- Experience with CAD or analysis (FEA) tools preferred
- Familiarity with transducer instrumentation, data collection, automation, and software programming
- Strong knowledge of structural mechanics and ability to predict internal stresses and structural instabilities
- Working knowledge of programming languages
- Familiarity with finite element methods, fatigue, and damage tolerance principles
