Job Overview
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support strategic programs essential to maintaining U.S. Armed Forces' readiness. As an intern, you will work as a member of the production support team, contributing to the development of production processes, procedures, and layouts. Your responsibilities will include supporting production through process issue resolution, process monitoring, and evaluating existing operations for opportunities to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering group to support current production and new development projects
- Create project charters with action plans, data-driven cost justifications, and planned completion dates
- Analyze engineering design documents and develop methods and processes required for product fabrication
- Coordinate the purchase of materials for fixtures and jigs
- Develop and prepare work instructions, control plans, and process validation plans
- Lead the set-up, validation, and training of new production processes
- Review production key performance indicators and analyze manufacturing production problems
- Support capacity analyses and capability studies
- Assist in the creation of technical justification documentation for process change requests
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
