Job Overview

At TimkenSteel, our internship program offers college students the opportunity to join our team and gain real work experience in a team environment. As an intern, you will have the chance to grow your skills, develop as a leader, and network with our managers and leaders. Our program also includes career readiness workshops and organized social activities.

Compensation

Responsibilities

  • External Financial Reporting:

    • Support the process of filing the 10-Q and related 8-K with the Security and Exchange Commission for the second quarter
    • Prepare financial statement tie-outs and support the earnings release process
    • Provide aid on other external reporting workstreams and technical accounting and reporting projects
  • Treasury:

    • Assist with daily cash reconciliations
    • Handle monthly cash and debt reporting requirements
    • Assist with monthly pension compliance items
    • Work on other special projects as they arise
  • Financial Planning & Analysis:

    • Provide insight and support in preparing the recurring company forecast
    • Assist with other month-end financial analysis tasks
  • Accounting:

    • Learn about and support the booking of journal entries
    • Conduct monthly account reconciliations
    • Assist with the monthly consolidation process
    • Gain insight into areas such as tax, accounts receivable, or accounts payable

Requirements

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Completion of 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2024 semester
  • Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university
  • Preferred majors: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Good communication and organizational skills
