Job Overview
At TimkenSteel, our internship program offers college students the opportunity to join our team and gain real work experience in a team environment. As an intern, you will have the chance to grow your skills, develop as a leader, and network with our managers and leaders. Our program also includes career readiness workshops and organized social activities.

Responsibilities

External Financial Reporting:
- Support the process of filing the 10-Q and related 8-K with the Security and Exchange Commission for the second quarter
- Prepare financial statement tie-outs and support the earnings release process
- Provide aid on other external reporting workstreams and technical accounting and reporting projects

Treasury:
- Assist with daily cash reconciliations
- Handle monthly cash and debt reporting requirements
- Assist with monthly pension compliance items
- Work on other special projects as they arise

Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Provide insight and support in preparing the recurring company forecast
- Assist with other month-end financial analysis tasks

Accounting:
- Learn about and support the booking of journal entries
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations
- Assist with the monthly consolidation process
- Gain insight into areas such as tax, accounts receivable, or accounts payable
Requirements
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Completion of 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2024 semester
- Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university
- Preferred majors: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Good communication and organizational skills
