Job Overview

As a General Office Support Intern, you will provide administrative assistance to one or more staff members in the United States Attorney's Office. This is a year-round position that requires a commitment of 16-20 hours per week while classes are in session, with full-time availability during breaks and summer months. Additional positions may be filled using this announcement as needed.

Compensation

  • Pay: DOE (Depends on Experience)
  • Hours: 16-20 hours per week while classes are in session, full-time during breaks and summer months

Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming phone calls and directing them to the appropriate staff members
  • Operating and maintaining office equipment, such as copy machines
  • Organizing and filing documents
  • Retrieving materials as needed
  • Managing office supplies inventory
  • Assisting with messenger trips as required

Requirements

  • Student Status: Must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited educational institution (high school, technical/vocational school, college, or university)
  • Good Academic Standing: Must maintain good academic standing and have a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Citizenship: Must be a United States citizen or owe permanent allegiance to the United States
  • Background Investigation: Must successfully pass a background investigation
  • Pathways Participant Agreement: All interns are required to sign the Participant Agreement
