Compensation

The rate for this position is $34 to $40 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Process Engineering: Works with field operators, console operators, and unit managers to provide optimization, troubleshooting advice, and generalized technical guidance on operating units within the refinery.
  • Environmental Engineering: Assists with compliance reports and emission tracking. Performs and reports daily emissions calculations. Reviews and incorporates regulatory updates.
  • Control Systems Engineering: Supports refineries through control and instrument activities. Supports hardware and software platforms. Troubleshoots when necessary.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in Chemical Engineering.
  • Overall GPA of 3.2 (or higher) on a 4.0 scale preferred.
  • Obtained at least 60 credit hours by the start of summer internship.
  • Graduation dates of August 2024 through May 2026 required.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week in person.
