Job Overview
- Internship opportunity with Craig D. Gremillion & Associates, staff counsel for State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company
- Rising 3L Summer Law Intern (Class of 2025)
- Exposure to litigation and trial practice
- Work one-on-one with attorneys on assigned projects
- Observe every phase of litigation
- Full-time schedule from Monday, May 20, 2024, to Friday, August 2, 2024
- Potential to transition to a part-time schedule during the 2024/2025 school year
- Hybrid work environment (in-office and remote)
- Paid at $28/hour
Compensation
- $28/hour
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with attorneys on assigned projects
- Observe every phase of litigation
- Designated mentor throughout the internship
- Excellent organization skills required
- Energetic/positive attitude
- Legal research knowledge
- Ability to work well under deadlines
- Fast-paced working environment
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a 2L student in an ABA law school
- Must remain enrolled as a student for the duration of the internship
- 2L students in the top half of their class
- Strong research skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Louisiana Evidence and Civil Procedure a plus
- Completion of Louisiana Insurance Law course a plus
- Applicants must be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work opportunity
