Job Overview
Meaden & Moore, a leading CPA and business consulting firm, is offering a Forensic Accounting Internship position. As an intern, you will gain real-world experience working with talented professionals on investigative accounting engagements involving commercial property insurers. This includes evaluating physical damage and business income losses suffered by businesses due to catastrophes. You will have the opportunity to review and analyze financial and industry information, insurance claims, and economic damage evaluations. This internship provides exposure to a wide range of industries, from small local retail stores to multinational entities.
Compensation
- Duration: August 2023 - December 2023; January 2024 - May 2024; May 2024 - August 2024
- Start and End Dates are flexible
Responsibilities
- Work with experienced professionals on investigative accounting engagements
- Evaluate physical damage and business income losses for commercial property insurers
- Review and analyze historical financial and industry information
- Assess revenue and expense projections
- Conduct insurance claim evaluations and economic damage evaluations
- Gain exposure to various industries
Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Junior or senior level student
- Accounting major with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or better
- Proficient understanding of Microsoft Windows and Office applications
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills at an intermediate or advanced level
- Openness to receive training in other Windows-based applications
- Motivation and enthusiasm for delivering high levels of service and expertise to clients
