Job Overview

Crum & Forster is seeking an Accountant - Financial Reporting to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for recording monthly/quarterly journal entries, performing various general ledger account reconciliations, and keeping track of program TPA accounts activity. Additionally, you will assist with quarterly Audit Committee meeting materials and prepare monthly/quarterly Agency results upload to EAS. This is a hybrid remote internship position.

Responsibilities

  • Record monthly/quarterly journal entries
  • Perform various general ledger account reconciliations
  • Keep track of program TPA accounts activity
  • Assist with quarterly Audit Committee meeting materials
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly Agency results upload to EAS
  • Complete OneStream upload templates

Requirements

  • Possess a good understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and insurance accounting skills
  • Experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook (familiarity with Access and Excel macro a plus)
  • Some exposure and knowledge of general ledger software is a plus
  • Ability to work and communicate well with other staff and other functional departments within the organization
  • Regularly communicate with supervisor and make him/her aware of the current workload
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and follow up on issues
  • Ability to take ownership of work product
  • Ability to meet deadlines while producing quality results
  • Bachelor's of Science in Accounting/Finance
  • Some internship experience in the insurance and accounting industry is a plus
