Job Overview

Shure Inc, a leading global manufacturer of audio equipment, is seeking an Industrial Design Intern to join their team. In this role, you will collaborate with designers on the creation and development of solutions that convey a visual and tactile message to the product use case. You will also assist with the creation of presentations and support designers with generating and communicating the visual and physical aspects of designs.

  • Collaborate with designers on the creation and development of solutions
  • Team up with designers to identify social, industry, and technology trends
  • Support designers with generating and communicating visual and physical aspects of designs
  • Assist with the creation of presentations
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Preference for students pursuing a degree in Industrial Design
  • Entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic
  • Strong creative and analytical thinking/problem solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Experience with 3D modeling and visual communication tools
  • Knowledge of design methodology
  • An interest in consumer and professional audio products
  • Ability to develop an understanding of human factors and design trends
  • Ability to exercise judgment and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
