Job Overview
CMG's hands-on internship program is designed to provide early career candidates with the opportunity to engage with top professionals and enhance their media and broadcast knowledge through hands-on experience in several departments within the radio station.
- Work closely with on-air talent, board operators, and producers
- Assist with research, writing, and creation of content for live and pre-recorded shows
- Help promote local events
- Participate in special projects identified by radio market leaders
- Paid internship with networking opportunities

Responsibilities
- Shadow various team members to gain understanding of programming operations
- Assist with local events and promotions
- Conduct research and share content online
- Contact interview sources and guests as needed
- Gather interviews for show segments
- Create engaging content for all platforms
- Assist with screening phone calls during live broadcasts
- Deliver content with precision and on tight deadlines
- Attend show planning meetings and contribute ideas
- Participate in special projects and potentially present insights/recommendations
Requirements
- Undergraduate or recent college graduate
- Degree in media field of study is a plus (e.g. Broadcast Journalism, Communications, Marketing)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive, agile, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and high work standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
