Job Overview
Are you a Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) or individual with a 4-year nutrition degree? Are you passionate about clinical nutrition and looking for a high acuity hospital setting to further your knowledge and continue to develop your skills? If so, this position is for you! New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Compensation
- Pay: $16.85 - $26.49 an hour
- Job Type: Full-time
- Shift and Schedule: Rotating weekends, holidays
Responsibilities
- Perform nutrition screening of patients and accurately assess nutrition risk levels per established criteria.
- Provide direct patient care using Medical Nutrition Therapy to assess patients and develop goals and a plan of care.
- Provide appropriate nutrition education.
- Assist with the education, mentoring, and training of dietetic students/intern and new associates.
- Accountable as a nutrition liaison/expert to assigned units and participate as a member of interdisciplinary committees and projects.
- Participate in department Quality Process Improvement activities.
Requirements
- BS in Nutrition/Dietetics - Dietetics Tract OR Associates Degree, completion of DTR exam required within 3 months of hire.
- Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: For associate degree, DTR required. Completion of 5-10 CEU annually/50 CEU every 5 years. Act 34.
