As an intern, you will gain exposure to the actuarial profession, learn about various insurance products and actuarial functions, and work with actuaries from across the organization. This internship presents an opportunity to develop your skills and make a real difference in a caring and supportive environment.

Compensation

Hourly Pay Range: $23.50/hr - $26.50/hr

Responsibilities

  • Gain exposure to the actuarial profession and company culture
  • Learn about various insurance products and actuarial functions
  • Collaborate with actuaries from different departments
  • Gain insight into operational areas such as IT, Underwriting, HR, Claims, and Marketing
  • Work on projects in product development, pricing, valuation, experience studies, reporting, systems testing, and process automation
  • Present your projects and experiences to actuarial leaders at the end of the internship

Requirements

  • Preferred majors in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors are welcome to apply
  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated through work experience, coursework, and/or actuarial exams
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access, and/or other general programming languages such as SQL and Python
