Job Overview
The TRIMEDX Biomedical Engineering Intern gains on-the-job training by shadowing experienced clinical engineers, biomedical engineers, lab engineers, and radiology engineers under the close supervision of TRIMEDX management. In this position, you will have the opportunity to understand the typical day of an engineer and learn how to work in a hospital environment. You will respond to service calls, learn to balance workload, document repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) work orders, manage vendors, calibrate equipment, troubleshoot various types of equipment, and perform preventive maintenance procedures. This internship will provide hands-on experience and valuable insights into the field of biomedical engineering.

Responsibilities
- Gain on-the-job training by shadowing experienced clinical engineers, biomedical engineers, lab engineers, and radiology engineers under the close supervision of TRIMEDX management.
- Understand the typical day of an engineer and learn how to work in a hospital environment.
- Respond to service calls promptly and effectively.
- Learn to balance workload, document repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) work orders, manage vendors, calibrate equipment, and troubleshoot various types of equipment.
- Train on preventive maintenance procedures, electrical safety, and equipment repair.
- Perform preventive maintenance procedures and validate inventory.
- Collaborate and work alongside experienced technicians in a real-time service environment.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an associate's or technical degree program in the biomedical field, or have equivalent military training.
- Experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening, including a limited background check and drug screening.
