Job Overview

The P&C IT Learning & Development team at Great American Insurance Group is seeking an intern to support database administration, project coordination, and business analysis work. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a natural curiosity for learning new skills. The intern will assist with tasks such as database administration, project coordination, documentation, quality assurance testing, and more.

Responsibilities

• Database administration of MS Access database used for P&C IT user training, including validation, ingestion, and report generation.
• Record detailed description of data validation and monthly process execution steps.
• Test data outputs and troubleshoot anomalies.
• Own SOP documentation and maintain versioning.
• Perform project coordination duties, including attending meetings, writing meeting minutes, documenting problems, updates program progress metrics, and more.
• Analyze survey responses and coordinate appropriate action items.
• Create wireframes for upcoming training.
• Perform quality assurance testing on training and user experience.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Exhibits business knowledge and analytical skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access, including pivot tables and V-lookups.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Visio.
• Good team member and ability to work effectively with associates at all levels.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Project Management, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Previous experience in the P&C insurance industry a plus.
