Responsibilities
- Perform basic field tasks, including data collection and measurements
- Prepare field notes and related documentation according to company standards
- Maintain Excel databases related to regulatory compliance
- Assist in preparing permit applications and plans
- Collect samples of groundwater, soil, sediment, air, and surface water
- Retrieve necessary data using online databases, records, or other means
- Enter collected data into report format using applicable software and company formatting guidelines
- Apply basic knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and programs
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have a personal vehicle for transportation to work sites
- Ability to conduct fieldwork, including some heavy lifting (50 to 80 lbs)
- Preferred: Previous internship and/or Co-Op experience
- Preferred: 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
