Job Overview
At Black & Veatch, we are seeking a Consulting Analyst Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will be responsible for gathering data and providing basic analysis work products to contribute to the completion of an engagement. You will have the opportunity to work closely with team leaders and engage in mentorship and co/lab trainings. This internship will provide you with valuable hands-on experience at an employee-owned engineering, procurement, consulting, and construction company.

Responsibilities
- Perform research, data analysis, and report-writing for projects.
- Conduct economic and financial studies for utilities, developers, and/or independent power producers.
- Assist with power supply planning studies and integrated resource planning.
- Conduct feasibility studies for domestic or international power generation projects.
- Provide support in areas such as deregulation, restructuring, and competitive positioning services.
- Assist in electric market price forecasting.
- Participate in asset valuation projects.
- Contribute to project development, including project structuring and reviewing/negotiating project agreements.
- Work as an individual contributor with no subordinates.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in an accredited university in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field of study.
- Strong analytical, communication (written and oral), and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with a high level of initiative and motivation.
- Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in mathematics and computer skills.
- No previous experience required.
- Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screening.
