Job Overview

The Research and Development internship is seeking an individual with strong technical skills and business acumen. This role involves applying technical knowledge to research and development projects. The intern will support the R&D portfolio and work on various ongoing technical research projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management and execution of research and development projects
  • Investigate applications for machine learning techniques within the electric utility industry
  • Develop interpersonal networks within the organization
  • Conduct research applicable to key business projects
  • Show keen interest in gaining deep knowledge of the electric utility industry

Requirements

  • Must be actively pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or MBA with an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university
  • Junior, Senior, or post-graduate level of study with an interest in machine learning, low carbon energy-related research, renewable energy research, and cybersecurity or related environmental field preferred
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 required, 3.0 or higher preferred
  • Broad interest in electricity energy-related science
