Job Overview

We are seeking an intern to join our Global Strike and Product Support (GSPS) software development team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on web-based and Java mission systems that support the Intelligence, Global Strike, and Nuclear Planning communities. You will be mentored by experienced software engineers and gain knowledge in Agile/DevSecOps methodologies, web development best practices, full-stack design patterns, and secure software techniques.

Compensation

This is a paid internship position.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of 3-6 software engineers to develop and enhance software systems within the Integrated Strategic Planning and Analysis Network (ISPAN) Mission Planning and Application System (MPAS) system of systems
  • Perform software development, unit testing, debugging, and defect correction
  • Support team peer reviews and interact with systems engineers, architects, scrum masters, product owners, and end users to understand mission and system requirements for software tasks

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or MIS
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA desired but not required
  • Ability to develop web or Java code in a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a US Citizen; government security clearance required
