Job Overview
The Social Science Division of the Seaver College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at Pepperdine University is seeking a fixed-term visiting assistant professor in Social Work. The position will start in Fall 2024. The successful candidate will have experience teaching both introductory and advanced courses in social work and social welfare policy, as well as the ability to develop and maintain relationships with organizations that offer internships for students. Preferred qualifications include the ability to teach courses in Psychology or the College's Social Action and Justice program. A Master of Social Work (MSW) or PhD in Social Work or a closely related field is required, along with relevant scholarship and/or professional experience. This position requires a demonstrated commitment to excellent teaching, advising, and internship supervision in a Christian liberal arts environment.
