Job Overview

Join Duke Energy's Information Technology Summer Internship Program and embark on an immersive journey into the world of technology. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain on-the-job experience and exposure to various areas such as software engineering, data analytics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and cloud engineering. You will work as part of a high-performing team and contribute directly to team goals while honing your own skills for future technical and professional endeavors.

Compensation

  • Competitive Hourly Pay & 401K contributions
  • Housing stipend available when applicable

Responsibilities

  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned deliverables
  • Gain practical experience in software engineering, data analytics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and cloud engineering
  • Attend site visits, information sessions, and networking events with senior leadership and peers
  • Contribute to sustainability efforts within the energy industry

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program as a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
  • Majoring in IT or Engineering related fields such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Software Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
