Job Overview
Cambridge Investment Research is offering a 10-12 week paid summer internship for talented interns in Fairfield, Iowa. As a Logical Database Administration Intern, you will gain practical knowledge in the financial services industry and contribute to the strategic governance of Cambridge's enterprise data. This internship provides networking opportunities, mentorship, and the chance to work on a specific project.
Compensation
- $19-$23 per hour
Responsibilities
- Create a statistical model to determine the correlation between different types of data or events
- Identify the key drivers for financial professionals based on demographic data and transaction types
- Follow the Data Science Process by researching, developing steps, and collecting necessary data
- Work on a project involving data sources, Tableau, and creating reports and dashboards
- Prepare and present a statistical model by experimenting with different types of models
- Expand skillset in data science models, data cleansing, Tableau, and presentations
- Collaborate with various business departments while performing data science tasks
Requirements
- Students studying computer science, data science, data architecture, data analytics, mathematics, or statistics
- Undergraduate and graduate students graduating in August 2022 or later
- Students planning to enroll in a graduate degree program after Spring 2022 graduation
