Summer Associate Internship (Cyber Security Analyst)

Job Overview

The Summer Associate will conduct a three-month research experiment with the intent of presenting the results of the research at the end of the summer. This internship program offers impactful projects and meaningful work opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve, analyze, and validate data and test accuracy of reported results
  • Analyze open source, DDW and internal-to-NFCU member data to understand, predict and identify opportunities to improve member security
  • Develop and present proposal on findings from analysis and research to management up to and including senior executives

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Computer Forensics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related degree
  • Familiarity with the concepts of social engineering, phishing, credential harvesting or other threat intelligence relevant to financial institutions
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisions
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies
  • Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM
