Footwear Product Creation Intern
Job Location
NIKE, Inc. World Headquarters in Beaverton, OR
Job Overview
- Join the NIKE Footwear Product Creation Team to contribute to the design and development of innovative footwear products.
- Collaborate across functions to understand athlete needs and create new concepts to improve performance.
- Work on initiatives within the team and gain exposure to the cross-functional Nike matrix.
Compensation
- This is a paid internship opportunity with relocation assistance.
Responsibilities
- Research and investigate materials for product lines and production with a focus on sustainability and performance (Footwear Materials Development).
- Collaborate with Design and Operations to bring products to life (Footwear Product Development).
- Test and ensure Nike products are fit to best serve athletes (Footwear Product Testing).
- Find ways to make Nike Designers' ideas work (Product Engineering).
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a Polymer Science, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Textiles, or related field.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Graduation date of Winter 2024, Spring/Summer 2025.
- Knowledge of materials, formation, construction, and manufacturing required.
- Knowledge of footwear sourcing, global processes, and events preferred.
- Ability to maintain integrity, remain flexible, and achieve results within a matrixed organization.
- Proficiency using MS Office applications.
