Job Overview

Join Affinius Capital's compliance and risk team for a full-time 10-week summer internship. Get hands-on experience in investment adviser compliance for our private funds real estate business. This internship offers exposure to various aspects of compliance, including:

  • Compliance risk assessment and testing
  • Foreign Corrupt Practices Act
  • Anti-Money Laundering
  • Code of Ethics monitoring and reporting
  • ESG
  • Cybersecurity

You will also research securities regulations and their impact on our business. Gain insight into real estate private funds and interact with management. This internship provides a nurturing and challenging environment to build your career.

Compensation

Competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with compliance risk assessment and testing.
  • Research and analyze proposed and existing securities regulations.
  • Monitor and report on Code of Ethics.
  • Learn about day-to-day business operations.
  • Interface with all levels of management.

Requirements

  • Law school students from an accredited law school (prefer candidates who have completed at least their first year) OR graduate students with a concentration in Finance or Real Estate (prefer candidates who have completed their first year).
  • Highly inquisitive, collaborative, and a creative problem solver.
  • Sharp analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Available for full-time work in San Antonio for at least 10 consecutive weeks in summer.
