Job Overview

Qorvo's Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program. Qorvo offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full-time opportunities, as available.

Qorvo's Design Engineering Internships are offered in our Research & Development, High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, and Connectivity and Sensors business groups. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Compensation

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $33/hr - $43/hr, relevant for the California Bay Area (subject to change dependent on physical location)

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability.

Base compensation is one element of Total Rewards offered at Qorvo. More information on the Total Rewards package can be shared upon request.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Designing and building prototypes to meet customer specifications for HMI devices
  • Meeting performance requirements while also considering size, cost, footprint, and schedule
  • Working with signal generators, oscilloscopes, network analyzers to compare simulated data to real lab data
  • Partnering with technicians to perform circuit simulations and testing as needed
  • Potential to work with transistor level circuit design, simulation, and PCB design

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a BS, MS, PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Arduino or similar platform programming experience
  • Coursework in signal processing
  • Fluency in Python and interfacing with sensors, actuators and lab equipment, and real-time graphical visualization of results
  • Exposure to electronic measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes and network analyzers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Software Exposure: SolidWorks, COMSOL preferred
  • Self-Starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling
  • Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products
