Responsibilities

  • Work independently on projects aligned with your academic background and career aspirations.
  • Gain real-world, hands-on experience working under an assigned supervisor and technical mentor.
  • Complete specific projects such as Cooling Tower Drone Inspections, Nuclear Core Analysis, Control Circuit Wiring Design for Feedwater Pump, Thermal Overload Calculation for Motor Operated Valves, Seismic Monitoring Instrumentation Upgrade, Weld Overlays Calculations on Feedwater Heater, and Hydrogen Electrolyzer Project.
  • Locations include Braidwood Nuclear Power Plant, Byron Nuclear Power Plant, Clinton Nuclear Power Plant, Dresden Nuclear Power Plant, LaSalle Nuclear Power Plant, Quad Cities Nuclear Power Plant, and Cantera Corporate Office.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters Engineering Program for Fall 2024.
  • Majors include Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum GPA: 2.8 Cumulative AND 3.0 Major.
  • Track record of outstanding academic performance.
  • Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
