Job Overview
Motorola Solutions, a global leader in public safety and enterprise security, is seeking a Communications Systems Engineer Intern for our Sales Engineering Group. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to assist Systems Engineers in designing mission-critical radio communication solutions. Your responsibilities will range from consulting with customers to determine their needs, developing technical strategies, generating proposals, and presenting solutions to customers. This internship is designed to provide you with valuable hands-on experience and prepare you for a career in system engineering.
Compensation
DOE (Dependent on Experience)
Responsibilities
- Assist Systems Engineers in designing mission-critical radio communication solutions
- Consult with customers to determine their needs
- Develop technical strategies and generate proposals for customers
- Present proposed solutions to customers
- Keep sales professionals and customers updated on the latest Motorola technology offerings
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree with a graduation date on or after September 2024
- Preferred emphasis in Wireless, Electrical, System or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences
- Self-motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment
- Experience working with customers is desirable
- Experience/knowledge in radio systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless, broadband, microwave, and/or networking is desirable
- Experience/knowledge of communications networks (MPLS, Ethernet, TCP/IP) is desirable
- Certifications through CCNA, CompTIA, and/or Amateur Radio/ HAM is desirable
