- We are seeking an intern to join our Methods Engineering team.
- As an intern, you will be responsible for assisting with designing, developing, testing, and implementing mechanical solutions using Solidworks.
- Your role will involve supporting aviation production and manufacturing processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.

Responsibilities
- Assist Methods Engineering with designing, developing, testing, and implementing mechanical solutions using Solidworks.
- Draft and design layouts of equipment, materials, and workspace to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Work with Quality Assurance, Training, and SHE departments to ensure compliance with regulatory, company, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs.
- Evaluate existing production processes and workflows using lean manufacturing concepts to identify areas for improvement.
- Improve production efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Monitor competitive benchmarks to ensure processes and equipment remain competitive and cost-effective.
- Assist in leading or participating in Kaizen activities to continuously improve processes, products, components, raw materials, and equipment.
- Assist MRO Engineering and machine shop with 3D Scans, reverse engineering, solid modeling, CNC programming, and machining.
- Assist with audit surveillance and preparation, procedure and document review/editing, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Engineering degree preferred or relevant work experience.
- Ability to think logically and systematically to solve problems and create efficient systems.
- Knowledge of quality and project management tools.
- Proficiency in Solidworks 3D CAD.
- Technical skills in programming (Excel, Visio, Access), drafting applications, etc.
- Sense of urgency, great attitude, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to analyze data and generate useful information using statistical techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
