Job Overview
KPFF's Special Projects Group is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer Intern in our Seattle office. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are eager to develop their design and project management skills and who are passionate about providing exceptional client service.

Responsibilities
- Be directly involved in a wide variety of challenging projects, including cranes and lifting devices, bulk material handling, ferry and vessel interface systems, industrial process systems, lock and dam gates, and high profile large movable structures.
- Work in an interdisciplinary environment and collaborate with talented engineering professionals.
- Utilize a holistic approach to project management, solving client's problems and seeing the big picture on every project.
- Have direct access to clients and owners.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a BSME program.
- Completed 90 credits or more by the start of the internship.
- Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong technical and organizational abilities.
Preferred Requirements & Skills
- Graduating senior or enrolled in a MSME program.
- EIT certification.
- Previous engineering intern or graduate-level work experience.
- Knowledge in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and VBA.
- Willingness to work on a variety of project types.
