Job Overview

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Land Development team in our Dallas, TX office.
Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

Responsibilities

Prepares preliminary analysis on a variety of technical tasks
Project research, field work, observation, and preliminary design calculations
Takes personal responsibility for the quality of tasks performed
Uses CAD to prepare and check working drawings, details, layouts, and estimates
Performs routine analysis to check the accuracy of data and work products
Assists in the preparation of exhibits, plot plans, lot fits, or other similar tasks by discipline

Requirements

Currently working towards completion of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Demonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized field
Growing knowledge of the profession as demonstrated by involvement in related professional organizations and professional development programs
Basic knowledge of the firm's policies, practices, and procedures
Basic knowledge of software required for the position
Good organizational skills
Able to follow general directions and work with limited independence on basic computations
