Job Overview

  • Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Land Development team in our Dallas, TX office.
  • Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

  • Prepares preliminary analysis on a variety of technical tasks
  • Project research, field work, observation, and preliminary design calculations
  • Takes personal responsibility for the quality of tasks performed
  • Uses CAD to prepare and check working drawings, details, layouts, and estimates
  • Performs routine analysis to check the accuracy of data and work products
  • Assists in the preparation of exhibits, plot plans, lot fits, or other similar tasks by discipline


  • Currently working towards completion of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized field
  • Growing knowledge of the profession as demonstrated by involvement in related professional organizations and professional development programs
  • Basic knowledge of the firm's policies, practices, and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of software required for the position
  • Good organizational skills
  • Able to follow general directions and work with limited independence on basic computations
