Job Overview
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is hiring a Custodial Supervisor 1 in the Facilities Management department. This position requires overseeing custodial services for various facilities, including restrooms, offices, classrooms, conference areas, laboratories, and special event centers. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and directing the custodial staff, maintaining inventory, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. This is a full-time position with various day and night shift schedules.
Compensation
- Salary range: $36k - $46k per year
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct custodial services for assigned facilities
- Develop schedules to facilitate work accomplishment
- Train workers on all aspects of custodial work
- Maintain inventory of supplies
- Conduct inspections throughout assigned areas
- Prepare performance appraisals and appropriate documentation for personnel actions
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and university-wide regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Two years of building custodial and general building maintenance work, including one year of lead experience
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, methods, and techniques
- Valid class C driver's license
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
