Job Overview

As an Intern - Strategic Initiatives for Employee Experience, you will collaborate closely with our dedicated team to drive the execution of initiatives aimed at enriching the work environment for our expanding frontline workforce. This team is designed to take ideas from inception through execution that support the efforts to enhance the employee experience & solidify United's service culture within our workforce.

The Employee Experience Internship offers many opportunities to work on high visibility projects in a face paced environment, while working cross functionally with other teams within United. Interns on this team will have the opportunity to:

  • Help brainstorm and map out strategies that prioritize and elevate the employee experience and our service culture, aligned with United's growth objectives.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to coordinate the end-to-end execution of initiatives that promote a strong Service Culture within our Frontline organization.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to employee engagement and experience metrics
  • Assist in the preparation of communication materials, presentations, and reports to share the progress and impact of strategic initiatives with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Aviation, Sociology, and/or Psychology
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Passion for enhancing employee experiences and contributing to a positive workspace
  • Position is based in Chicago, IL - must be able to relocate for internship duration
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
  • Graduation date of May 2025 or May 2026
