Job Overview

As a Utility Transportation Intern at HDR, you will gain real-world experience on exciting projects and connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs. You will have the opportunity to apply standard engineering techniques and procedures, perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager, and gain real-world Microstation and analytical experience. Additionally, you will have opportunities for on-site construction field visits and will meet with Utility company representatives, engineering consulting teams, and clients to form solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Offer real-world experience on exciting projects
  • Connect with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
  • Gain real-world Microstation and analytical experience
  • Have opportunities for on-site construction field visits
  • Meet with Utility company representatives, engineering consulting teams, and clients to form solutions
  • Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must
